Spectrum's Equipment Tracking module is designed to track and charge your company equipment, tools, and inventory to jobs. A single, easy to use screen allows shop personnel to track all movements of your equipment such as issues and returns. To make the process even easier, Spectrum supports bar code scanning for these transactions. Equipment Tracking ensures that equipment never gets "lost."

Equipment Tracking provides a quick and easy way to charge standby equipment time to jobs. Equipment can be checked out to jobs with a bar code scanner. Automatic, recurring billings are created by Equipment Tracking as long as the equipment is assigned to a specific job. Charges cease when the equipment is returned. The demobilization report provides a listing of equipment to be returned from any job.

All equipment and inventory items can be issued, received, and transferred on a single screen. Equipment Tracking allows you to charge materials to a job because it creates the job requisition for items in inventory. Any unused materials can easily be returned to inventory using the same transaction method.

Equipment Tracking keeps detailed information on each transaction so that history may be reported by job, by item, by the shop employee that checked out the item, or by the field employee that requested the item. The module is designed for ease of use by shop personnel.

  • The Recurring E/T Report / Update applies job-specific rates from Equipment Control | Job/Equipment Rate File Maintenance when equipment is assigned to a job with special rates.
  • The Recurring E/T Report / Update starting screen ensures that the transaction date is within the Equipment Tracking Minimum/Maximum processing date range.
  • Tracks all issues, receipts, and transfers by equipment/inventory class and type, transaction type, warehouse/yard location, division and GL account, employee, date, time, and requisition number.
  • Quantity, price, cost, markup, and allocation are all tracked for each item.
  • Online inquiries are available, in summary and detail formats.
  • Interfaces with bar code scanner using bar code labels.
  • Bar code listing can be used for physical inventory of items.
